GreaseGiant collects used cooking oil and cleans grease traps for restaurants across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. This page says what information we collect, why, and what we do — and don't do — with it. It's written in plain English on purpose.
Who we are
GreaseGiant is a trade name of FreeFlow Insights Incorporated, a Delaware corporation.
- Office: 4041 Powder Mill Road, Suite 310, Beltsville, MD 20705
- Phone: (833) 991-7861

What we collect
When you fill in a form on this site
Your restaurant name, your name, your city, your phone number, and your email address. That's the whole form. We never ask for payment card numbers or any government ID on this website.
When you call us
Our line is answered by an automated assistant. Calls may be recorded and transcribed for quality and training, and you are told so at the start of every call. We keep your phone number, what you called about, and the notes from the call.
When you scan a QR code on one of our mailers or business cards
We record which mailer or card was scanned and when, so we know which campaigns are working. On its own that doesn't identify you — we only have your details if you go on to fill in the form.
When you become a customer
Your pickup address, the size and location of your container, tank sensor readings, gallons collected, pickup dates, and billing records.
Why we collect it
- To call or text you back about the quote you asked for.
- To schedule and route your pickups.
- To service your account, invoice you, and pay you for your oil.
- To keep the waste-hauling records that DC, Maryland, and Virginia require us to keep.
We do not build advertising profiles out of your information.
Text messages
If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about your pickup request and your service. The full terms are on our text message terms page. The part that matters most:
We do not sell or share your mobile number, or the fact that you agreed to receive texts, with anyone else for their own marketing. Reply STOP to any message and we stop texting you.
Who else sees your information
Companies that run parts of our operation for us, under contract, and only to do that job:
- HubSpot — our customer records.
- Twilio — our phone calls and text messages.
- ElevenLabs — the assistant that answers our phone.
- Cloudflare — hosting for this website and the bot check on our forms.
- Detrack — driver routing and proof of pickup.
- HazTrack — the sensors that tell us when your container is filling up.
- Google — the fonts on this site load from Google, so Google sees your IP address when a page loads.
We also hand over information when the law requires it — waste manifests to regulators, for example.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade our contact list.
Cookies and tracking
This site runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no tracking cookies. The only thing that touches your browser is Cloudflare's bot check on our forms, which may set a short-lived token to confirm you're a person and not a script.
How long we keep it
We keep lead and customer records for as long as we're doing business with you, and after that for as long as tax and environmental record rules require — waste manifests, for example, must be kept three years in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. If you want your records deleted sooner, ask us and we'll delete whatever the law doesn't require us to keep.
Your choices
- Stop the texts: reply STOP to any message from us.
- Stop the calls or emails: tell us and we'll stop.
- See, correct, or delete what we hold: email [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're a current or former customer, we may have to keep the service records regulators require.
Security
Your information sits in access-controlled business systems, and only the people who need it can get to it. No system is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise — but we don't keep anything we don't need.
Children
This is a service for businesses. It isn't directed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
Questions
